AD (Lambda) 3010: Rallying for War

In Dreams...

Dominic C. Alexander, "War is inevitable. We must be ready for it. Rally your people. We shall be prepared...."

. . .

Taking heed of my father's advice, i quickly traveled to New Celion. My father is the advisor of our clan, Krusnik Alexandros. i was adopted into this clan after being saved by the Crusniks at the Battle of Arkhelion. To save one from turning vampiric, the quickest way is to be infused with Crusnik blood. That's what my Crusnik allies did. The Sentinel Alliance needed me on the field, so i agreed resulting to this... i did not regret. i was in fact pleased to be able to switch between Crusnik and Quellvar at pleasure. . . .

Elv'vin, Tel-Muen, Tel-Charin, and i ran non-stop from Dor-Cruxx to reach New Celion as soon as possible. We did not take the aeroplane to avoid being spotted by the enemy. We traveled mostly at night; but in the day, we traveled through the shadows. Finally at dusk of day three, we arrived at the destination. We went in stealth, cloaking our scents and blocking our minds. ...

We separated. i went to the outskirts, where the assault is most likely to happen, beside the cemetery. The remaining three went into the city, scouting. i found the tallest building nearby, a ten-story apartment, and went straight for the rooftop. ...

For a couple of days, i watched the area, searching for any signs of trouble. Nothing occurred, however. At some point i thought that maybe my adopted father may have been wrong. But, i was soon to be proved wrong. By the second night, i picked up numerous new scents, scent of vampires. i stood there awaiting their mass arrival. ...

But, before they reached, a scuffle below caught my attention. i watched as a vampire fought with another, a lady. Puzzled, i continued observing without interfering. Then, two persons came in my view, they were opposite the 1st two. i did not detect anything amiss of them, but rather worried as they also came into full view of the assailing vampire. Initially taking them as mere humans, so i thought of the entire population there, i watched as they too looked at the vampiric tussle. But after some time, the seemingly humans said to each other, 'Let's go...' i wondered, 'go where? Help her?'

They, then to my surprise, transformed into vampires! Attacked the assailant and killed him. However, sadly enough, the victim was already dead. The two of them went to inspect the dead bodies. But before long, a sudden pandemonium distracted us. It came from the ground floor.

What i saw next astonished me. A battle broke out down below. What surprises me more is that the De'viellian Vampires managed to cloak their presence. i watched as the locals transformed into their original forms. And there they were, vampires, crusniks, werewolves, and some other beings which i never saw before. Standing on opposite sides, the two forces gather and prepared for battle. i watched anxiously as the first pair joined in the battle.

At the sound of a battle cry, the two sides met. In the chaos that ensued, the invaders' body fell to the ground one by one. i was extremely surprised that the defenders are able cut down the opposing forces so easily. At a glance, they looked somehow, incapable. But their fighting prowess is even a match for trained military men. i wondered why. But then, i saw the one thing that cleared the mists in my mind. A cross. The cross mark on their right shoulders. They were trained by the Defenders of the Cross. 'Ahh.... That's good...', i said to myself....

After an hour of combat, the last of the vampiric invaders fell to the ground. The tired defenders cheered. i jumped down from the top and joined them in their cheers, as to conceal myself. But their leader stood out and spoke loudly and furiously, 'Where the hell are the Alexanders?! Aren't they supposed to prevent something like this from happening??!!'

'...i'm sorry, but i wanted to see how capable you were.', came a firm and familiar voice. i turned back to see Dominic C. Alexander speaking. Surprised, i wanted to speak. But, 'War is inevitable. We must be ready for it. Rally your people. We shall be prepared....', he followed. Their leader, a vampire by the name of Gedroth, stood quiet and nodded in agreement. He then asked, 'What are your plans then, Elder Dominic?'

'Well, i have... ...' They then left with the elders of the area, to deliberate on all possible strategies and tactics. 'Nicholas, Nicholas!!! Come quickly!'

i turned around to see Elv'vin, Tel-Muen, Tel-Charin running towards me, with worried looks on their faces. i walked past a line of new-found warriors who volunteered themselves to serve in the defence of their homes, towards them.

'Sir, we have spotted a giant orc... come!'

Immediately i followed them... Just as i turned around the corner, there it was, the rare giant... uncommon even amongst orcs themselves... However, it was not moving, inanimate. As if it were put into cryo state, but still alive, i could still sense the life force of it... and a very powerful one too... Slowly, we approached him, careful not to wake him up, to investigate... mostly out of curiousity...

Suddenly, as if we stepped on a cat's tail, the giant jumped to his feet, raised his axe above his head, said: 'Today is my day for the Lord of De'viels!!!'

'He's mine...', i said to my comrades, and leaped into the air... Clenching my fist, flames bursting forth, i came down towards the orc...
